Itinerary Overview For The 6 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Tour
Enjoy this 6 days thrilling adventure in 2 of Uganda’s gorilla national parks and make the most memorable experience in Uganda; the pearl of Africa. The tour gives you a chance to trek the magnificent gorillas in 2 different national parks that is Mgahinga Gorilla National Park which sits high in the clouds. The park also boasts of other mammals like elephants, giant forest hog, bush pigs, bushbucks, buffalos, leopards and over 180 bird species for example the endemic Albertine rift notably the Kivu ground thrush and Turaco.
Bwindi Impenetrable National park which is home to more than half the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Enjoy an opportunity to visit the magical stunning Lake Bunyonyi and its 29 islands. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the deepest lakes in Africa. It is safe for canoeing and swimming.
Detailed Itinerary For The 6 Days Double Gorilla Trekking Tour
Day 1: Pick up, Transfer to Mgahinga NP
When you land at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed and picked by our professional tour driver guide and you start your journey to Mgahinga National Park. It is a long journey and you will have some stopovers while on the way for example at the Uganda Equator for an experiment, photo and video moment and souvenir buying then we shall proceed with our journey and make another stop for lunch at Igongo country hotel. After this stop, we shall continue with our journey to the park. Along the way, we shall enjoy the beautiful scenic views of Kigezi highlands. We shall then check in at the lodge, have dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking In Mgahinga NP, Cultural Experience
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and after drive to the headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while trekking the mountain gorillas. After briefing, you will be allocated a trekking group and a ranger guide then you start your journey into the forest. Once you meet a gorilla family, you will be given an hour to spend with the gorillas and you study and learn the behaviors of gorillas. You can take pictures and videos of the gorillas playing, feeding and interact with one another.
Your guide will pick you and take you for lunch at the lodge and later in the day you will embark on your visit to the Batwa Community for a great experience in artwork and traditional dances, storytelling, among others.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Wake up to a relaxed breakfast and after prepare to leave Mgahinga National Park for Bwindi impenetrable national park. During this journey prepare to be blown by beautiful scenic views. We shall proceed with check in at the lodge and lunch. Later, in the day, you can enjoy a relaxation by the lodge or community walk.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi National Park, Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Start your day with a delicious breakfast guide and after prepare to drive you to the park headquarters for short briefings about the rules of trekking the gorillas. It is also at this point that you are allocated a group and a ranger guide to begin the gorilla trekking experience. Upon meeting a gorilla family, you will be allowed to be with gorillas for an hour as you study and learn the behaviors of gorillas. You can take pictures and videos of the gorillas playing, feeding and interact with one another.
Your guide will pick you and take you for lunch at the lodge. You will then prepare and embark on your journey to Lake Bunyonyi which is also home to very many small birds which inhabit the lake. Check in and enjoy a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Canoeing Adventure, Visiting The 27 Islands
Wake up to a hot cup of tea or coffee, enjoy a canoe ride around the lake with stunning and remarkable views of diverse bird species for example egrets, and king fisher among others. We shall have the opportunity to visit some of the 27 islands with each having a different history.

Day 6: Transfer Back To Entebbe
We have come to the end of this amazing 6 days trip and hopefully we have made some good memories to take with us back home. We shall wake up for breakfast and prepare to start our journey back to Entebbe. It is a long journey and we shall have some stopovers along the way for lunch and some stretching. We also have an opportunity to catch the Equator and give it a last glimpse on our way to Entebbe before we proceed with our journey to catch our flight back home or a hotel in Entebbe.
