This 16 Days Best Uganda Safari offers unforgettable experiences starting from the Northern Part of Uganda to the Southern. The safari offers unique and satisfying experiences from Kidepo Valley National Park which has an alluring scenery of unique valleys, untampered wilderness, and beautiful animals that welcome you and a trip Southern of Uganda offering is a lifetime journey to a special protected area; Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which home to the mountain gorillas.

Detailed Itinerary 16 Days North To South - Best Uganda Safari
Day 1: Pick Up From Entebbe Airport
On this day, you will be warmly welcomed to Uganda; the Pearl of Africa by the company driver guide, followed by a short briefing about your 16 Days North To South – Best Uganda Safari and later drive to your hotel in Entebbe. If time allows, in the evening, you could take a walk in the botanical gardens, go to art and craft shops in Entebbe and visit some shopping malls. Return to the hotel for some relaxation, dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Transfer To The North Via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Wake up to an early breakfast; prepare for for 3 – 4 hours’ drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to enjoy rhino tracking on foot. The sanctuary is the only place in Uganda with rhinos in the natural habitat and besides rhinos, you have higher chances to watch other multiple wildlife suchas antelopes, warthogs, plus birds like shoebills. After, leave Ziwa Sanctuary and start driving to the North with enroute lunch in Gulu; Uganda’s second biggest town. After lunch, we continue driving to Kitgum where we shall retire for an overnight.

Day 3: Transfer Kidepo Valley National Park, Cultural Visit To Karamojong People & Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, we prepare for an amazing highlight of this 16 Days North To South – Best Uganda Safari as we explore Kidepo National Park; one of Uganda’s wildest and most spectacular gem hidden in vast plains and semi-arid savannah and mountainous landscapes. Before we drive to the park, we shall experience a cultural encounter with Karenna & Kapedo; Karamojong people with an opportunity to interact with elders, visit kraals, grinding stones and learn more about their culture. We shall proceed to the park and go for an evening game drive with a chance to watch wildlife such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, alongside singing birds, etc.

Day 4: Full Day Exploring Kidepo NP (Morning & Evening Game Drives)
After a delicious breakfast, Kidepo’s rocky and hilly landscape towards Natabba gate for an opportunity to site some cheetahs and other wildlife. We shall return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening we shall drive towards the Narus River Valley enjoying scenic views with a chance to encounter of Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer and Lions. Return to the lodge for some relaxation, dinner and an overnight.

Day 5: Sunrise To Sunset Game Drives (Focusing Kaanangorok & Buffalo Tracks)
Wake up to an early breakfast; and drive to the park for another adventure. This day, our safaris will majorly focus around Kanangorok hot spring area crossing the sand river for a chance to site a number of wildlife roaming around including ostriches , drive back to the lodge for lunch and return for another thrilling game drive focusing around the Buffalo track and Narus Valley water holes. After our evening exploration, we shall return to the lodge to for some sundown and an overnight.

Day 6: Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up to a leisurely breakfast and leave the rugged hilly landscapes of Kidepo behind for Murchison Falls National Park driving through remote areas of Uganda. We shall arrive in the afternoon and relax at the lodge ahead of the next day’s activities.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast, we drive to Murchison Falls Park to explore its beauty in the morning for a chance to encounter big cats, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as they go about their morning jungle routine life. We continue exploring the circuits to the delta point for an opportunity to see more birds and mammals. We shall return to the lodge for some refreshments and lunch and in the afternoon drive out for our boat cruise on the Nile up to the base of Murchison Falls where you get to encounter Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of bird species along the banks. After the boat cruise we drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 8: Transfer To Kibale Forest NP
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and after prepare for a journey to Kibale Forest National Park which is also Uganda’s primate city. It is a long days so we shall have enroute lunch in Fort portal. Along the journey, we shall have more stopovers to stretch and for some photos along beautiful sceneries like the Rift valley escarpment on Lake Albert and tea plantations. We shall check in late in the afternoon for some sundowner at the lodge and relaxation.

Day 9: Chimps Trekking, Bigodi Wetland Walk
Begin the day early with breakfast, leave for briefing about chimpanzee tracking rules at Kanyanchu and also to have a guide to lead you. At 8:00am, leave Kanyanchu tourist centre for about 2-4 hours guided chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale and this covers 1 hour given for face to face encounter, photo taking. Lunch will be had after returning from Kibale Forest then you will visit Bigodi Wetland for a primate walk with a chance to view incredible primates such as red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, other mammals and birds.

Day 10: Transfer To Queen Elizabeth, Evening Game Drive
After breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the crater region. We shall drive through villages with views of tea plantations and villages as people go about their daily life. We shall reach the lodge in time for lunch and a bit of relaxation before we drive out to the parks savannah to for stunning scenery and a chance to encounter wildlife like elephants, lions, leopards and other interesting animals. After the game drive, we shall return to the lodge for a relaxation and an overnight.

Day 11: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast, we shall drive out to experience Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a chance to encounter Elephants, Buffalos, Lions, Leopards, warthogs, Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many other species that are reside in this park as we drive along. Be prepared for a rich bird life especially the storks in the wetland as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. After the game drive, we shall drive back to the lodge for lunch as we prepare for a rewarding boat trip on the famous Kazinga channel, which links Lake George to Lake Edward.
During the boat trip, you have a chance to spot both land and water adapted Hippopotamuses yawning with some slashing canines to each other, the Nile Crocodiles along the banks, Warthog. Along the peninsula you have a stunning view of birds and animals that come to swim, sunbathe and quench their thirst.

Day 12: Transfer To Bwindi Via Ishasha Sector Game Drive
After a relaxed breakfast we embark on an adventurous journey to Bwindi via Ishasha sector; the southern of Queen Elizabeth NP. Along the way, we can site elephants, monkeys, beautiful birds and even big cats if we are lucky. When we arrive we shall go for a game drive to search for tree climbing lions and then start the drive to Bwindi Forest which is home to the mountains gorillas. Check in at the lodge where we shall retire for an overnight.

Day 13: Gorilla Trekking Day, Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi
On this day, we shall experience the highlight of our 16 Days North To South – Best Uganda Safari. We shall start with breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. It is at this point that we shall be allocated a trekking group and ranger guide to start our journey into the forest. The forest is full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hogs, forest Elephants, Statungas and Dikers which you will encounter during your trek. After meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour as you watch them in their natural habitat. After the trek we shall have lunch and transfer to the scenic Lake Bunyonyi driving through cultivated hills.

Day 14: Leisure Day By Lake Bunyonyi

Day 15: Transfer To Lake Mburo, Afternoon Game Drive
After a hot cup of tea or coffee, we shall leave the scenic island behind and start our journey to Lake Mburo National Park driving through the Hilly areas. We shall arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, drive in to the park for a game drive with chances to spot zebras, giraffes, topis, warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 16: Morning Safari Walk, Transfer To Entebbe Airport
On this day, we shall enjoy a unique safari walk getting you close encounters with wildlife. We shall visit the hyenas den, with a possibility to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in there morning routine jungle life. After the safari walk, we shall have breakfast at the lodge ahead of our journey to Entebbe as we have reached the end of the 16 Days North To South – Best Uganda Safari . Along the journey, we shall stop by the Equator for some photo moment and souvenir shopping, we shall then continue with our drive to Entebbe in a hotel or to the airport for flights back home.
