Itinerary Overview For 5 Days Fly In - Luxury Gorilla Trekking Uganda Tour
Enjoy luxury gorilla trekking Uganda tour in the heart of African wilderness coupled with lion tracking, tree climbing lions and culture in two of Uganda’s National Parks; Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and make unforgettable memories. Enjoy the beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will experience more time in the presence of lions during the lion tracking experience where a pride of lions to be tracked have a radio collar attached in the neck and through a designed radio antenna, you are fully assured of seeing lions with a team of researchers with an opportunity of learning more about lions and unforgettable boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel joining Lake Edward to Lake George. In the South of Queen Elizabeth NP; Ishasha sector, enjoy a rewarding game drive in search for tree climbing lions.

Detailed Itinerary For 5 Days Fly In - Luxury Gorilla Trekking Uganda Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Kasese Airstrip, Afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
In the morning, your driver will pick you and take you to Entebbe to catch your domestic flight to Kasese Airstrip. When you land in Kasese, your guide will be waiting to welcome and drive you to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP. Check in to the lodge, have lunch and prepare for an afternoon boat trip on Kazinga Channel.
In the afternoon, we shall drive out for a 2hrs boat cruise on the Kazinga water channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. The boat trip gives you an opportunity to see a number of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes among other water birds that come to the water banks to quench their thirst, swim and sun bathe. After our boat trip, we shall drive back to the lodge for some relaxation, sundowner, dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Experiential Lion Tracking, Afternoon Game Drives
Have an early breakfast and drive to Kasenyi Plains for a chance to get more time in the presence of lions during our lion tracking experience. Enjoy close encounters as you will be driving closely to lions, monitoring and learning about their different behaviors in their natural habitat such as how lions mark their territories by scrapping the ground with their feet, drying sticky urine sprayed on a prominent bush or rub their heads in the bushes leaving inconspicuous blonde hairs among others.
After our game drive, we shall drive back to the lodge for lunch, rest a bit and later drive back to the back for a chance to encounter more wildlife during our afternoon game viewing safari with a chance to spot more lions, leopards, antelopes, warthogs, Uganda kobs, hyenas, waterbucks, elephants, hippos and bird life like African Skimmer, African fish eagle, red chested sunbird, squire tailed nightjar and the malachite kingfisher. After this encounter, we shall drive back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer To Bwindi Via Ishasha Sector For Tree Climbing Lions
Today marks the 3 day of our luxury gorilla trekking Uganda tour. After breakfast, we shall start our journey towards Bwindi via Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP for a game drive in search for tree climbing lions in huge fig tree branches as they are staring down on the numerous Uganda kobs grazing in the open Ishasha plains. We shall have a chance to encounter other bird and wildlife in the park. We shall have lunch and continue to our final destination.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking, Batwa Community Experience
After breakfast we shall drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking which is also a highlight of our 5 Days Fly In – Luxury Gorilla Trekking Uganda Tour. We shall also be allocated a trekking group and a ranger guide and start our journey in the forest to search for gorillas. Once you meet your gorilla family, you will be given one hour to spend with the gorillas as you watch how they feed, live and stay with one another as you take some pictures and videos in the jungle. After trekking, your guide will pick you and drive back to the lodge for lunch ahead of the Batwa community.
Drive out for the Batwa community experience where you will get a chance to learn about the culture of the Batwa community. The cultural encounter allows you to learn about Batwa community history, music, dances, songs, storytelling and cultural norms and beliefs. Feel free to participate in any of these activities as well as donate to their community. Drive back to the lodge for relaxation and an overnight.

Day 5: Transfer To Kihihi For Domestic Flight To Entebbe
After breakfast, we have to check out and leave the misty Bwindi Forest behind and start driving to Kihihi Airstrip to catch our domestic flight back to Entebbe, as this day marks the end of our 5 Days Fly In – Luxury Gorilla Trekking Uganda Tour. The driver will drop you to your hotel or transfer you to the airport for a flight back home.
