This 4 days Gorilla Trekking & a hike on Mount Sabinyo in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park takes you to the stunning highlands of Kigezi and an encounter with different bird species.
Mgahinga Gorilla National park is the smallest of Uganda’s national parks; it is home to a number of mammals including mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, buffaloes, elephants, bushbucks, giant forest hogs, different bird species and 3 Virunga volcanoes. Expect to be thrilled with new experiences on this 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Tours as you trekking the magnificient mountain gorillas and hike Mount Sabinyo.
Detailed Itinerary - 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Tours
Day 1: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be picked by your driver guide for your 4 days adventure in Mgahinga National Park. Be prepared for a long driving journey, along the journey, we will stop over at the Equator for photo and video moment. We shall make another stop in Mbarara town for lunch and stretching. We shall then continue with our journey to our destination as we enjoy the stunning views of Kigezi highlands. We shall arrive at the lodge, check in and enjoy a relaxed evening as we wait the next day’s activities.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience, Batwa Cultural Encounter
After ticking off day one of our 4 days Uganda Gorilla tours, we shall wake up to a delicious breakfast and later drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. It is at this point that we shall be allocated a trekking group and a ranger guide as we prepare to get into the jungle and start our search for the magnificent creatures.
During the trekking you will encounter other primate species, birds, different pant and tree species among others. Once you meet a gorilla family, you will be given one hour to spend with them in their natural habitat, you will experience their behaviors, habits. You will enjoy watching them feed, breastfeed, and play. At this point, you will pull out your cameras and take photos and videos to record these moments with the gorillas. Your guide will later pick you and transfer you to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon visit the Batwa community who are also known as pygmies for a great cultural experience in music, artwork and traditional dance as you experience the lifestyle of these people. The Batwa are believed to be one of the earliest in habitants of the tropical forests.

Day 3: Mount Sabinyo Hike Experience
Have breakfast in the morning and prepare to drive to the briefing point for another highlight of our Uganda gorilla tours package. At this point, you will be assigned a ranger guide and walking sticks. You will go through vegetation ranges from the bamboo zone which is also are habitant for the golden monkeys and you stand a chance to spot the famous Rwenzori Turaco – a stunning bird which is endemic to the Albertine rift region. At the summit, you have a chance to be at the meeting point of all three countries and enjoy the best views of all; this will mark our highlight on day 3. Your guide driver will be waiting for you at the starting point to transfer you to the booked lodge for an overnight.

Day 4: Transfer Back to Entebbe
We have come to the end of our 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Tours. In the morning, enjoy a tasty breakfast as you prepare to check out, bid farewell to the scenic park and embark on your journey to Entebbe. It is a long day’s drive, we target to have a stop in Mbarara town for lunch then continue with our journey to Entebbe Airport to catch our flight back home.
