Itinerary Overview
Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda’s small national park compared to other East African parks. Surprisingly, the park is rich with variety of habitats, lakes, swamps, busy thickets among others.
The park also boasts bird species, zebras, giraffes, eland, impalas that can be experienced by game drives, boat cruises, horse riding, by foot or biking. With just 2 days, explore the unique features and scenery of Lake Mburo National Park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick Up & Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park – Afternoon Safari
Upon arrival, you will be picked by our experienced guide driver and we start our journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Along our journey we will have a stopover at the Equator for some photo and video moment before we continue driving through Masaka as we proceed to our destination. We shall arrive just on time at the lodge for check in and lunch.
After our lunch break, we shall head out for a game drive to search for zebras, giraffes, warthogs, buffaloes and impalas as we enjoy beautiful landscapes of the vast savannah and shrubs.

Day 2: Morning Safari Walk, Shoebill Experience At Mabamba Swamp
Upon sunrise, we shall prepare for a fascinating safari walk in the park with a chance of sighting different animals like zebras, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in their day break life. This is a special encounter with wildlife as you move on foot to get to see animals. After this encounter, we shall head back to the lodge for breakfast and prepare to check out to start our journey to Entebbe.
We shall make a stop at Mabamba Swamp for the Shoebill Stork excursion, the swamp also is home of many other birds, so if you are a birder, this is a great spot. After spotting the shoebill, we shall proceed with our journey to Entebbe as this will mark the end of our 2 days Lake Mburo safari.
