Itinerary Overview
With only 2 Days, explore the best of Ngamba Island while enjoying fresh waters of Lake Victoria, sounds of chimps and birds from the forest. Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is home to more than 45 orphaned chimpanzees. The sanctuary was established in 1998 to create a suitable environment for the orphaned chimps that were rehabilitated at UWEC.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee sanctuary (Boat)
After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you from your hotel and drive towards Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC) to start your cruise to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. The boat trip takes about three hours depending on the strength of the waves on the lake. We shall arrive in the afternoon; enjoy a delicious lunch and some relaxation at the beach.

Day 2: Forest Walk Experience, Departure
On this day, we shall go to the forest for our nature walk experience. The walk is one of the most interesting activities on the island. A walk through the forest takes you close to the juvenile group and you get to experience them interact with one another, jumping from one branch to another, how they feed, play and go about their wild life as you learn more about these creatures.
After the forest walk, we shall go for our lunch and after lunch we prepare to go to our boat and head back to Entebbe. When we reach Entebbe, we shall drive back to our hotel or head to the airport for our flight back home. This shall mark the end of our 2 Days Chimpanzee trekking tour at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
